Today, a meeting was held at the Regional Military Administration with representatives of the “DiDiBao” basketball club from the city of Kamianets-Podilskyi. During the discussion, special attention was given to the international experience of basketball development brought to Ukraine by foreign athletes, particularly the American player of the mentioned club ‒ Deriq Brown from the State of Maryland, USA.

Deputy Head of the Regional Military Administration, Vladyslav Faliush, welcomed the guests and thanked the club for its contribution to promoting sports in the region. He emphasized that even under the difficult conditions of war, basketball remains an important factor in maintaining the physical and mental health of young people. In turn, Deriq Brown shared his impressions of Ukrainian basketball, noting the increasing level of game performance and enthusiasm of local athletes.

Club President, Andriy Boyko, and Head coach, Evgeniy Isakov, spoke about the team’s achievements and their work with young basketball players. They highlighted that the involvement of players with international experience, such as Deriq Brown, helps improve the skills of Ukrainian athletes and develop the region’s sport traditions.

The Parties also discussed the prospects of Khmelnytskyi region’s participation in the nationwide project “Shoulder to Shoulder Ukrainian School Leagues” and the possibility of involving professional players in work with young people.

In conclusion, Vladyslav Faliush emphasized that sport partnerships are not only about developing youth and healthy lifestyles, but also an important symbol of unity between countries. “We are grateful to our American friends for their support and standing by us during these challenging times. Ukraine and the United States of America share common democratic values, and our cooperation in all sectors is the key to a strong future,” he stated.
