Sergii Tiurin, Head of the RMA, held a video meeting on 21 March, 2025 with Owen Fuller (State of Utah), an American businessman and CEO of the IT Company “MARQ”, which promotes the expansion and development of the IT sector in the USA, and Bruce Roberts, founder and CEO of the charity organization “August Mission”.

The meeting was attended by advisor to the Head of the RMA Viktoria Tarasiuk, advisor to the Head of the RMA and member of the Khmelnytskyi IT Cluster Roman Uzhva, Board member of the Khmelnytskyi IT Cluster Sergii Yatsyshyn, and participant of the Khmelnytskyi IT Cluster Yulia Gutsal.

As the meeting began, Sergii Tiurin expressed his gratitude to American partners for their continued support and willingness to cooperate. “It is very important for our region and Ukraine as a whole that our American partners and friends remain with us during this difficult time. Our friendship is only getting stronger,” he emphasized.

Head of the region pointed out that he was well aware of the previous results of cooperation supported by the American side. Particularly, nine IT companies from the Khmelnytskyi region participated in the Silicon Slopes Summit (Utah, 2024) and presented their portfolios.

“We are confidently following our strategy to develop IT sector through the joint efforts of educational institutions, business and government. This is confirmed by real actions and projects. The IT cluster is a significant contributor to regional development, demonstrating successful cases of cooperation with international partners. Due to community and partners’ support, we can anticipate further growth of IT sector in the Khmelnytskyi region, as well as implementation of new ambitious projects in the coming years. We are grateful for such opportunities,” stated Sergii Tiurin.

In response, Owen Fuller noted that many Americans actively support Ukraine by offering their professional skills. He also shared his experience of staying in Ukraine, and told about current projects.

During the discussion both sides agreed to intensify communication, create working groups on various issues, and explore new opportunities for cooperation between Ukrainian and American IT clusters. They separately addressed the prospects of partnerships between universities, internships for Ukrainian students in the USA, obtaining dual degrees, and participation of Ukrainians in summits organized by the American side.

“We are always open to cooperation and new initiatives. We look forward to the joint implementation of new projects. Thank you for your continued support of Ukraine and Ukrainians,” said Sergii Tiurin as he closed the meeting.
